Winter

Winter is our “high season” and the busiest time on the island. People escape from northern cold and enjoy festivities from a variety of local events and an interesting international mix of visitors. With Gibraltar’s private location and personal beach, quiet and solitude is always readily available even in the midst of activity.

Summer

Summer is also a great time to visit. Although it is hotter, the water is fabulously warm, and this is the time of year that locals will swim and play, too. Fishing remains good all summer, and lobster season opens August 1 to great fanfare. With a sea breeze across most parts of the island, and Gibraltar’s air conditioning to aid your comfort, summer is an enjoyable time.

Spring

Spring continues the fun of Winter, with families and friends traveling on spring breaks, escaping the lingering cold weather, or looking for great fishing in warm waters.

Fall

Fall is the “slow season” and the quietest time on the island, although not as slow as it used to be! Hurricane season is officially June-November, typically most active between mid-August through October. This time of year is a favorite among locals as there is more quiet time to catch up with one another. Visitors during this season enjoy the true flavor of local living and island serenity at its best.
